ABOUT MICHAEL KASKEL

  In both Post Mortem and Still Life series, my work shows beauty in death.

   I only work with deceased animals/insects that have been ethically sourced and matched with food (in some cases showing the transformative cycle of the animal to consumable food product), but typically just the beauty that can be shown artistically and respectfully.

In the Experimental Series,  I use a chemical alteration of the medium to intentionally obliterate the original image changing it to unrecognizable subject matter.
